CCM Pulpit Operator – Steel Making Plant

About the role

The Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) Pulpit Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the CCM in a steel making plant. You will monitor process parameters, ensure product quality, and coordinate with other plant sections to keep production flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CCM systems according to production plans.
• Maintain process parameters as defined in process sheets and supervisor instructions.
• Watch HMI/CCM alarms, track process trends, and report any abnormalities.
• Coordinate with EAF, LF, control rooms, cranes and other sections for seamless plant operations.
• Ensure consumables, tools, bins and hopper materials are available.
• Follow temperature and sampling procedures to guarantee product consistency.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety standards and respond to emergencies as required.
• Support training of new staff and contribute to productivity improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI qualification.
• Experience in a steel making plant, preferably with CCM operations.
• Good technical knowledge of furnace and melting parameters.
• Strong safety awareness and operational discipline.
