Central Controller

About the role

Thales is seeking a Central Controller to support the CFO in overseeing financial management and controlling functions across its UAE operations. The role will be based in Dubai and will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash management and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shared services KPIs with a focus on timely payments.
• Manage project cash flows, forecast cash‑in and cash‑out, and optimise operating cash flow together with Operations.
• Review working capital requirements and lead inter‑company AR reduction initiatives.
• Lead ICV (In‑Country Value) requirements, including occasional travel to Abu Dhabi.
• Support financial activities of UAE entities, including monthly balance‑sheet reviews and preparation of financial statements.
• Lead audit processes and ensure compliance with ICMA, ICQ and other regulatory standards.
• Assist month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Participate in finance transformation projects, including SAP enhancements and agile tool implementation.

Required profile

• Audit background is mandatory.
• Strong organisational capabilities and ability to synthesize complex information.
• High level of rigor, accountability and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in financial controlling within a large, multi‑entity environment.
