Certifying Aircraft Technician (Avionics)

About the role

Etihad is seeking a Certifying Aircraft Technician specialized in Avionics to join its In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE) team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on one of the world’s most advanced fleets, ensuring safety, quality, and technical excellence for all IFE and connectivity systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to Etihad Airways safety and quality regulatory procedures.
• Oversee staff health, safety, and performance, verifying that tasks use approved tooling and maintenance data.
• Foster a robust safety and incident‑reporting culture.
• Report on time for duty and execute all IFE tasks assigned during the shift.
• Sign‑off work performed in accordance with approved data and complete accurate paperwork.
• Support and attend IFE troubleshooting activities while on shift.
• Return unused serviceable and unserviceable items to stores with correct labeling.
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with internal and external counterparties.

Required profile

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA, EASA Part‑66, or ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• Formal aircraft apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various IFE and connectivity systems.
• Ability to work shifts and handle time‑critical maintenance tasks.
