Chef de Cuisine – Italian Restaurant (Filini)

About the role

The Chef de Cuisine (CDC) will lead the culinary operations of Filini, the Italian restaurant at Yas Plaza Hotels. You will ensure authentic, high‑quality Italian dishes are prepared and presented consistently, while supporting the restaurant’s financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all kitchen activities, including production, stewarding, and staff supervision.
• Maintain the highest food quality standards, adhering to hotel recipes, presentation, and safety guidelines.
• Control costs, pricing, and portion sizes to meet profit objectives.
• Oversee inventory, ordering fresh and dry goods, and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Coordinate with food‑and‑beverage departments to deliver timely service for à la carte, groups, breakfast, room service, and events.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in professional cookery, preferably in Italian cuisine.
• Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen teams.
• Strong understanding of cost control, inventory management, and food safety regulations.
