Chef de Partie - Pastry

About the role

The Chef de Partie – Pastry will be responsible for preparing and presenting high‑quality pastry items within the hotel’s food and beverage outlets in Dubai. Working under the Pastry Chef, the role ensures consistency, portion control and adherence to recipes while supporting the team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pastry and cold foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler and grill temperatures, and manage thawing of frozen items.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure proper garnish and arrangement of dishes.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to kitchen and service staff.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching team members, and uphold safety and hygiene policies.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Minimum three years of pastry experience in a hotel or similar establishment.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform bending, twisting and reaching tasks.
