Chef de Partie – Seasonal Role at Netsu Japanese Steakhouse

About the role

Join the Netsu Kitchen team at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira as a Chef de Partie on a seasonal basis. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Japanese steakhouse dishes while supporting the broader culinary operation.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for food quality, presentation, and timely delivery of dishes.
• Supervise your kitchen section and collaborate with other sections to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain stock management, ordering ingredients daily, and monitor inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety standards, and UAE municipality regulations.
• Oversee plating guides, keeping them up‑to‑date and ensuring consistent dish appearance.
• Support VIP and special dietary requirements, guaranteeing guest satisfaction.
• Participate in daily briefings, monthly meetings, and regular hands‑on training sessions.
• Assist with administrative tasks, audits, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment upkeep.

Required profile

• High school qualification; a degree or HND in Hospitality/Culinary arts is preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in a 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• International experience in at least two regions (Asia, Europe, North America, preferably Middle East).
• Experience with hotel pre‑opening or renovation projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
