Chemical Field Service Representative – Industrial Cleaning

About the role

The Chemical Field Service Representative is responsible for planning, executing and supervising chemical cleaning, flushing, passivation and mechanical cleaning activities on industrial and commercial systems. The role ensures safe and effective commissioning of piping networks, HVAC, chilled water, district cooling, data centres and power generation facilities while complying with HSE standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans for chemical cleaning, flushing and passivation projects.
• Review project specifications, P&IDs, method statements and conduct site surveys.
• Supervise flushing operations on chilled water, condenser water, district cooling, closed‑loop and HVAC systems.
• Monitor system parameters such as flow rate, pressure, pH, conductivity and chemical concentrations.
• Design flushing methodologies, select chemicals, equipment and dosing requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, flushing certificates and completion documentation.
• Operate and maintain flushing pumps, filtration units, dosing systems, chemical circulation skids and monitoring instruments.
• Manage chemical inventory and consumables for each project.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, conduct JSA and risk assessments, lead toolbox talks and enforce PPE use.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and commissioning teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in chemical cleaning, flushing and passivation projects for industrial systems.
• Familiarity with reviewing technical documents such as P&IDs and method statements.
• Ability to conduct site surveys, assess system readiness and supervise field operations.
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures, risk assessments and safe chemical handling.
• Excellent communication skills for client and project coordination.
