Chief Accountant

About the role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a proactive Chief Accountant to support the Finance Department in Dubai. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and contribute to smooth hotel operations through diligent accounting practices.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the General Cashier’s report, income journal vouchers, and supplier invoices.
• Code expenses in the general ledger and review supplier payments with supporting documents.
• Process expense reimbursements and validate payroll reports at month‑end.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and monitor contract renewals.
• Post and update standard and adjustment journal vouchers.
• Review the month‑end general ledger, analyze expense variances against budget, and ensure timely accounting reports.

Required profile

• Degree in hotel management or accounting.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience in a hotel environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy; familiarity with hotel property systems is an asset.
• Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to lead and support a team.
