Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant – Healthcare (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant to lead the finance function of a specialist healthcare organization in Dubai. You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the complete accounting cycle and day‑to‑day finance operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
• Review journal entries, perform reconciliations and oversee month‑end closing activities.
• Produce management reports and provide financial analysis to senior management.
• Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses and overall financial performance.
• Develop, monitor and analyse annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and oversee supplier payments and expense approvals.
• Coordinate with billing and operational teams to guarantee accurate revenue recognition and collections.
• Support payroll review and maintain fixed‑asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT and corporate tax.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare required documentation.
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Proven ability to manage a full accounting function and lead a finance team.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
