Chief Steward – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Al Jaddaf Rotana Suite Hotel is seeking a proactive Chief Steward to support the Stewarding Manager in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all food‑and‑beverage areas. You will lead a team of stewarding staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Stewarding Manager in enforcing cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food‑processing facilities and equipment.
• Supervise all stewarding department employees, monitoring duties, facilities, operations, and costs.
• Oversee sanitation, hygiene, and product quality, including proper use of chemicals and washing accessories.
• Coordinate stock levels, approve storeroom requisitions, and work with the Assistant F&B Manager or Outlet Manager on daily requirements.
• Maintain health‑inspection records, attendance logs, and manage casual‑employee files.
• Implement measures to reduce loss of silverware and flatware.

Required profile

• Hospitality degree or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a hotel stewarding department.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and cross‑cultural sensitivity.
• Detail‑oriented, initiative‑driven, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
