Civil Engineer – Arabic Speaking (Buildings)

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with fluency in Arabic to support building projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) to ensure construction quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer/ARE in daily site activities.
• Monitor construction progress and verify contractor adherence to design documents and authority regulations.
• Review contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Provide on‑site direction and supervise inspection staff as directed.
• Measure completed work, track resource allocation, and report findings.
• Observe and enforce site safety practices.
• Support preparation of project close‑out documentation.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Fluent Arabic speaker (essential).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on building projects, preferably in Dubai.
• Experience with fast‑track, high‑profile projects is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard civil‑engineering computer software.
