Civil Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & Joinery

About the role

The Civil Engineer will provide technical and engineering support for interior design, fit‑out and joinery projects across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. This position requires a minimum of seven years of proven UAE experience on commercial, hospitality, residential, villa, office and high‑end interior fit‑out projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate civil engineering drawings, details, specifications and technical submissions in line with project requirements, approved designs and UAE regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor construction progress and workmanship, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, review contractor and subcontractor submissions, and coordinate shop drawings and material approvals.
• Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, project managers, quantity surveyors, QA/QC engineers, site engineers, joinery teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Ensure civil works are properly integrated with architectural, MEP, structural and interior fit‑out requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of hands‑on civil engineering experience within the UAE.
• Proven track record on commercial, hospitality, residential, villa, office and high‑end interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, authority standards and construction quality requirements.
• Ability to work across the full project lifecycle from design coordination to site execution and handover.
