Civil Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

The Civil Inspector will work on‑site alongside the Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, contractor and QA/QC team to monitor construction progress, verify workmanship and materials, and ensure compliance with project requirements across civil and infrastructure works in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Become fully familiar with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection/test plans.
• Monitor and enforce the contractor’s compliance with standards, specifications and approved documents.
• Conduct daily site supervision and inspections of civil and infrastructure works as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Liaise daily with the contractor to follow up on activities, manpower, equipment, materials, work sequences and site requirements.
• Track the contractor’s utilization of manpower, plant, equipment and materials to ensure effective progress.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental compliance and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily records of manpower, equipment, plant and material usage.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of relevant experience in civil construction inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise daily records.
