Civil Inspector – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Civil Inspector to join its infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet the required standards, specifications, and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all civil works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Conduct daily inspections, report non‑conformances, and coordinate corrective actions with foremen and the ARE/RE.
• Process Inspection Requests, maintain approval/rejection records, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Coordinate sampling, testing, and QA/QC verification of materials with inspectors and laboratories.
• Work with surveyors to confirm line, level, and grade for ongoing and completed works.
• Maintain detailed daily site diaries, including activities, issues, manpower, and equipment logs.
• Support quantity measurement for day‑work items and interface with adjacent stakeholders to minimise construction impacts.
• Promote and enforce project HSE requirements and safe work practices on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising infrastructure construction, preferably in stormwater and utility projects.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Excellent inspection, reporting and documentation capabilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills within a site‑based environment.
