Civil Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Civil Inspector to join its infrastructure team. The successful candidate will conduct continuous surveillance of construction activities, ensuring strict compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate grading, concrete slump, air entrainment, and compression.
• Conduct surveys for lines and grades, measure bolt torques, and execute concrete coring.
• Inspect underground piping for tightness, bedding, and grade, and verify piling installation locations and bearing.
• Validate piping systems through P&ID checks and hydraulic pressure tests.
• Check electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Monitor painting and insulation applications for thickness and coverage continuity.
• Provide general inspection of all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure workmanship quality.
• Assist in preparing quality‑control reports, safety practices, and welder qualification tests.

Required profile

• Diploma (3‑year) or degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects (roads, highways, pump stations, utilities), preferably in the UAE.
• At least 3 years of recent relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
