Civil Lab Technician

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Civil Lab Technician in Dubai. The technician performs laboratory tests according to the assigned standard test methods and reports results accurately and on time, supporting the laboratory's quality standards through equipment maintenance, safety protocols and quality control tests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assigned laboratory tests according to standard test methods and report results to the Technical Supervisor.
• Document test results accurately and complete worksheets adequately during testing.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in optimal working condition and use only calibrated equipment where necessary.
• Follow safety protocols, wear the required safety gear and keep the laboratory clean and orderly.
• Perform intermediate equipment checks as specified by testing standards.
• Run internal quality control and proficiency test samples and report findings to the Unit Head.
• Take part in internal and external training programs to improve technical expertise.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Previous experience in a civil laboratory is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to handle and maintain testing equipment and familiarity with lab safety regulations.
• Willingness to undergo the required training programs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard test methods and laboratory procedures.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
