Civil QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The Civil QA/QC Engineer ensures that all civil construction works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes and quality standards. The role involves monitoring site activities, conducting inspections and coordinating with consultants, clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project’s Quality Management System (QMS) and review specifications, method statements, ITPs and material submittals.
• Conduct inspections of civil works, coordinate with consultants, clients and third‑party inspectors, and prepare inspection and material inspection requests.
• Identify non‑conforming works, raise NCRs and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Maintain documentation of quality records, test reports, approvals and inspection logs, and support internal and external quality audits.
• Coordinate material testing through approved laboratories and ensure compliance with local authority regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience in civil construction, including at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Experience with high‑rise, residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects and familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of construction standards and codes (ASTM, ACI, BS, local building codes).
• Experience with ITPs, method statements, MIRs, IRs, NCRs, RFIs and material approval processes.
• Familiarity with document management systems such as Aconex or Procore.
• Material testing and concrete/structural inspection skills.
