Civil Technician

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Civil Technician to join its Engineering & Facilities team in Dubai Marina. The role involves hands‑on construction and maintenance work across the property, ensuring all interior finishes and structures meet the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build, install and repair walls, partitions and finishes including drywall, wallpaper, millwork, molding and faux finishing.
• Perform rough‑in framing for doors, windows, cabinetry and related structures.
• Repair, maintain and construct wood elements such as doors, furniture and partitions.
• Carry out minor repairs like tightening fixtures, changing bulbs and patching wall holes.
• Order supplies, complete requisitions and coordinate with approved vendors.
• Load, transport and unload freight using hand trucks and elevators.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum two years of related hands‑on construction or facilities experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and work at heights using ladders.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
