Civil Works Manager (Depot & Online Buildings)

About the role

The Civil Works Manager – Depot & Online Buildings will lead the technical direction and delivery assurance of all civil and structural works for depot facilities and wayside buildings on a High Speed Rail project. This senior position ensures safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective delivery in line with international and local rail standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design development, review and construction of depot civil and structural works, including maintenance workshops, stabling sheds, inspection pits, wheel‑lathe and wash‑plant buildings.
• Manage delivery of depot administration, operations control, warehouse, fuel, fire station, security and staff welfare buildings.
• Coordinate depot infrastructure such as internal roads, drainage, retaining structures and boundary works, ensuring integration with track, systems and utilities.
• Interface civil works with permanent way, OCS, signalling, power and MEP contractors within the depot footprint.
• Lead civil and structural works for wayside buildings, including signalling equipment rooms, traction power substations, telecommunications huts, ventilation and plant buildings.
• Ensure proper sequencing and integration of online buildings with earthworks, track possessions and system installations.
• Control quality, schedule and cost, and maintain safety standards throughout all phases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing civil and structural works on large rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international and local rail standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex interfaces.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
