Classroom Assistant – Yasmina British Academy (AY 26/27)

About the role

The Yasmina British Academy is looking for a Classroom Assistant for the academic year 2026/27. You will work closely with teachers and pupils to ensure a supportive and safe learning environment, helping students fully engage in classroom activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom, facilitating participation in lessons and activities.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of individual education programmes for pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils with emotional, behavioural or social‑skill challenges and promote their well‑being.
• Help teachers maintain accurate pupil records, check attendance and organise classroom materials.
• Prepare and display pupils’ work, assist with photocopying and other teaching‑related tasks.
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other school areas, ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Contribute to the development and reinforcement of the school’s behaviour policy.

Required profile

• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Strong English language proficiency.
• Ability to work proactively on health‑ and safety matters.
• Commitment to supporting the school’s values and the cultural context of the region.
