Clinical Psychologist

About the role

A reputable healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a qualified and compassionate Clinical Psychologist. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of clinical experience, strong expertise in psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and the ability to provide high-quality mental healthcare to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, clinical interviews and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' psychological and emotional needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Assess and support patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related conditions and other mental health challenges.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective clinical outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver integrated care.
• Provide psychological education, guidance and support to patients and their families.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital, mental health clinic or healthcare setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an appropriate postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, meeting applicable DHA requirements.
• Valid DHA license or DHA eligibility for the relevant Clinical Psychology specialty.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, with strong English communication skills.
• Proven experience in psychological assessments, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatments, particularly CBT.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and patient-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Preferred: experience with multicultural patient populations, additional training in specialized therapeutic approaches, strong clinical judgment, empathy and commitment to patient confidentiality.
