Clinical Social Worker

About the role

The Clinical Social Worker provides psychosocial support to patients and families within Royal Khalifa City Hospital. Working under supervision, the role assists in assessments, documentation, and coordination of community resources to ensure comprehensive care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Identify social, emotional, financial, and environmental factors affecting health and recovery.
• Provide individual, family, and group support within the professional scope.
• Develop and implement individualized psychosocial intervention and care plans.
• Assist patients with completing forms, service applications, and referrals.
• Research and coordinate community resources, support services, and agency contacts.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case files, logs, and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, clinical staff, and social work team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning.
• Support patients experiencing crisis, trauma, grief, or adjustment difficulties.
