Cloud Kubernetes Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Kubernetes Engineer will lead the design, implementation and modernization of container‑based platforms, primarily using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, to support enterprise‑grade applications within a telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on container re‑platforming and modernization architectures.
• Define technical solutions for application containerization on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Architect, design and deploy enterprise PaaS solutions based on Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring high availability and split‑cluster configurations.
• Set up and manage private Docker Trusted Registry and maintain Docker images for multiple technology stacks.
• Create automation solutions for modern application platforms using RHEL Atomic Host, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment using Jenkins.
• Provide technical governance of vendor solutions and ensure alignment with business strategies.
• Support cloud platform services design, implementation and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 11 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in the telecom industry.
• 5+ years in a technical and program management role with strong payment and enterprise domain knowledge.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale payment and enterprise system projects.

Required skills

• Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes.
• Docker and Docker Trusted Registry.
• Virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, CoreOS).
• CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
• DevSecOps principles and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Automation and scripting for platform provisioning.
