CNC Machinist – Operate Hankook Protec 9NC Lathe

About the role

EthosEnergy is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and program CNC lathes, primarily the Hankook Protec 9NC, in its Abu Dhabi workshop. The successful candidate will ensure that work orders are completed on time, to the required quality standards, and in full compliance with QHSE policies.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, program and operate CNC lathes (Hankook Protec 9NC, Doosan 800, Doosan 400) according to work orders and manufacturer instructions.
• Inspect cutting tools and raw materials, replace tools as needed, and report any defects.
• Monitor machine performance, detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining, and adjust controls.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors after each job and ensure proper hand‑over between shifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with QHSE policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and other shop duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience working with CNC lathes.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with the Hankook Protec 9NC lathe.
• Proven ability to program Fanuc 21i‑TB and Fanuc 32i Model B controls.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
