About the role

Coach Wellness supports AUS’s commitment to a healthy, inclusive, and engaged university community. The role focuses on increasing participation among faculty and staff throughout the academic year by delivering group fitness classes, individual wellness coaching, tailored health programs, and inclusive wellness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and instruct safe, inclusive group fitness classes for all skill levels, providing modifications, demonstrating correct form, and monitoring participant safety and progress.
• Deliver personalized wellness coaching, exercise guidance, and evidence‑based health education covering stress management, recovery, and work‑life balance, while maintaining detailed program records.
• Oversee all Wellness Center operations during the evening shift, including opening/closing procedures, facility walk‑throughs, equipment maintenance reporting, incident management, first aid, and liaison with security and emergency services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience delivering group classes, individual wellness coaching, and facility oversight in higher‑education or recreation settings.
