Commercial Contracts Support Manager

About the role

The Commercial Contracts Support Manager will lead contract administration, compliance, claims management and dispute resolution for the Power and Water Transmission Scheme in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior management, the role coordinates with delivery contractors, supervision consultants and EPCs to ensure contractual obligations are met on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support across all project lots, monitoring compliance and addressing deviations.
• Assist in contract negotiations, claims management, dispute resolution and preparation of financial and commercial reports.
• Administer main contracts and sub‑contracts, maintain registers, correspondence logs and records of contractual events.
• Manage variation instructions, change requests and compensation events, assessing entitlement for time and cost impacts.
• Lead dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, adjudication or litigation support, and oversee contractual close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Law or Quantity Surveying; MRICS or equivalent preferred.
• 15+ years of contracts administration experience on large infrastructure programmes.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive risk‑management approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience with cost control software.
• Expertise in contract administration, management and negotiations.
• Skilled in EOT and variation claim assessments and formal responses.
