Commercial Director

About the role

Accor is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the commercial strategy for Grand Mercure Dubai City and ibis Styles Dubai Airport. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, the role oversees sales, events, weddings, marketing and other revenue‑generating functions to drive profitability and market share in Dubai’s competitive hospitality market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated commercial and marketing plan for both hotels, setting annual targets, budgets and action plans.
• Lead the sales teams across rooms, food & beverage, meetings, events and weddings to achieve revenue and profit objectives.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and guest behavior to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies.
• Strengthen key partnerships and negotiate contracts with corporate clients, travel agencies and event organizers.
• Collaborate with the Cluster General Manager and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of commercial initiatives with overall brand positioning.
• Monitor performance metrics, prepare regular reports and drive continuous improvement in commercial effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial management within premium hospitality or hotel groups.
• Strong track record of delivering revenue growth, market share expansion and profitability.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
