Commercial Director

About the role

The Commercial Director provides strategic and commercial leadership across IHG’s Dubai portfolio, guiding sales, marketing, distribution and revenue management teams to exceed revenue growth targets and market share objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute regional commercial strategy, aligning sales, marketing and revenue management initiatives.
• Lead the Regional Sales team to meet or exceed annual sales targets through next‑generation sales principles and total account management.
• Collaborate with Area Directors of Sales & Marketing to develop and implement effective sales and marketing plans.
• Monitor and adapt best practices across the region, tailoring tactics to specific markets and countries.
• Ensure brand standards are upheld in all collateral, advertising, promotions and hotel displays.
• Partner with General Managers and Area leaders to review forecasts and launch commercial tactics that support revenue goals for owners, shareholders and franchisees.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial, sales or revenue management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across multi‑regional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive performance, achieve RGI outperformance and surpass budgeted targets.
