Commercial Lead – Project Commercial Management

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Lead to drive the commercial performance of our property management projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee cost control, contract administration and risk management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring value optimisation and compliance with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management from planning and procurement through construction, completion and final account.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project budgets and objectives.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flows and identify cost overruns, risks and opportunities.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, change orders, claims and extensions of time.
• Negotiate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Review tender documents, evaluate bids and support procurement in strategy development.
• Validate payment applications, valuations and commercial submissions.
• Provide accurate cost reporting, forecasts and commercial updates to senior management.
• Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Finance, Technical, Design and Construction teams.
• Lead and develop commercial team members, ensuring performance and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Professional accreditation such as MRICS, RICS or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in commercial management of construction or property projects.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost control and risk management.
