About the role

The Commis 1 – Italian Cuisine will join the culinary team at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, supporting the Italian kitchen in a fast‑paced, high‑standard 5‑star environment. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in preparing authentic Italian dishes while learning from seasoned chefs.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the workstation with all required mise en place before each service.
• Prepare, cook, and present Italian dishes according to established standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Assist senior chefs with plating and garnishing.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about Italian cuisine and hospitality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team‑oriented kitchen.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
