Commis 2 – Cold Kitchen

About the role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a motivated Commis 2 to join its Cold Kitchen team in Al Wathba South, Abu Dhabi. This entry‑level position supports the preparation and service of cold dishes, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and food‑preparation checklists.
• Prepare and assemble cold foods, ensuring correct portion sizes and presentation.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and maintain temperature controls.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least 1 year of experience in a food‑and‑beverage or culinary environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Professional appearance and commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills
