About the role
The Commis 2 supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment in a luxury hotel setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fruits and vegetables.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers while monitoring cooking times and food quality.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, presentation standards, and food‑preparation checklists.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and kitchen equipment; follow safety and sanitation policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Required skills
- Food preparation and portioning.
- Operating ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients accurately.
