Commis 2 – Kitchen Assistant in Dubai

About the role

As a Commis 2 you will support the culinary team at Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel in preparing and producing food while upholding the highest standards of quality, hygiene and cleanliness. Working under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and senior chefs, you will develop your culinary skills in a fast‑paced, hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and food items according to approved recipes and standards.
• Complete daily mise‑en‑place for the assigned kitchen section.
• Support senior chefs with cooking, plating and food preparation during service.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling and FIFO rotation of food products.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment and kitchen areas.

Required profile

• Previous culinary experience, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Culinary qualification or relevant training is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Willingness to learn, work in a team and adapt to fast‑paced service.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
