About the role
The Commis 2 position supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in a luxury hotel setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store, wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, mix and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, tools, equipment and ensure correct temperature of appliances.
- Set‑up and break down work stations and serve food in proper portions.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
Required skills
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
- Prepare and cook food following recipes and quality standards.
