Commis 3 – Kitchen Assistant (Terra Secca)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis 3 to join the Terra Secca Kitchen in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will support the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, chop, and store fruits and vegetables.
• Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Cook and assemble dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure proper presentation.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain hygiene of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety and security policies, and report any hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a food‑and‑beverage or culinary environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Good communication skills and a professional appearance.
