About the role
The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal is seeking a Commis 3 to support the Club kitchen operations. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
- Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring proper doneness and presentation.
- Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated portions.
- Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor appliance and food temperatures, and report any safety or maintenance issues.
- Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
- Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly.
