About the role

Exceptional hospitality starts with you. As a Commis Chef at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa, you will prepare and present high‑quality dishes that enhance the guest experience while supporting departmental targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with Hilton brand standards and approved recipes.
• Manage guest orders efficiently and execute menu items within required service timelines.
• Maintain food quality by conducting checks, inspecting dishes before service, and ensuring presentation standards.
• Organise mise en place, monitor stock levels, and perform inventory checks.
• Support cost control through portioning, waste reduction, and efficient ingredient use.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and compliant with health, safety, and food‑handling regulations.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a focus on the present moment.
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Apprentice Chef, or similar culinary role.
• Completion of an accredited commercial cookery program or culinary apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 1 in Food Preparation and Cooking (NVQ Level 2 is a plus).
• Certification in basic food hygiene or an equivalent food‑handling program.
