Commis Chef – Pastry & Bakery (Entry Level)

About the role

The Lana, part of the Dorchester Collection, is seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join its pastry and bakery team in Dubai. You will work in a vibrant, inclusive environment where learning and creativity are encouraged, supporting the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain food quality control, ensure timely rotation and service of pastry and bakery items.
• Prepare, cook, and present pastries and baked goods in line with food safety standards.
• Collaborate daily with the Chief Baker/Executive Pastry Chef on preparation, stock management and seasonal menu development.
• Stay current with pastry and bakery trends while thriving under high‑pressure conditions.

Required profile

• Passionate, collaborative attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently and communicate effectively in English.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and hotel kitchen operations.
