About the role

Join the culinary team at Meliá Desert Palm Dubai as a Commis I. This entry‑level position supports daily food preparation in a luxury urban resort kitchen, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with organizing activities in the restaurant kitchen.
• Prepare daily food items and follow assignments from supervisors.
• Coordinate tasks with the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Estimate production needs and verify the quality of raw and cooked products.
• Maintain strict food safety, storage and sanitation procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
• Support the development of cuisine concepts and uphold presentation standards.
