Commissioning Engineer – Instrument/Electrical/Process/Rotating

About the role

KBR is seeking a Commissioning Engineer specialized in instrument, electrical, process and rotating systems for a major PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on offshore site commissioning within mega‑scale EPC contracts, contributing to KBR’s sustainable technology solutions across the asset life‑cycle. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, on‑time and quality commissioning outcomes that support the client’s operational objectives. The position is based on‑site in Abu Dhabi and reports to the Project Controls Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Commission instrument, electrical, process and rotating equipment on offshore EPC projects.
• Support the commissioning phase for mega‑scale projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, execute and hand‑over commissioning activities on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of offshore project experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience in the GCC region is preferred.
