Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to execute Building Management System (BMS) projects from design to fully engineered, operational, and optimized systems, handling all aspects of the controls system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project commissioning of BMS, including programming, testing, and on‑site integration of network, controllers, workstations, sensors and actuators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues within defined timeframes, coordinating with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Provide technical coaching to junior service members and manage on‑site installation, cabling and termination activities.
• Maintain communication with clients and subcontractors, delivering regular updates and guidance on installation and commissioning requirements.
• Participate in project design coordination with the BMS Project Manager and ensure achievement of target KPIs such as on‑time execution and quality.
• Deliver customer training and oversee project close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience executing BMS projects, including installation, commissioning and programming.
• Proven ability to read and analyse technical BMS documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• BMS commissioning and programming (graphical and code‑based).
• Integration protocols: LON, BACnet, MSTP, TCP/IP, MODbus, KNX, Profibus.
• Experience with network configuration, controller setup, and sensor/actuator integration.
