Commissioning Engineer (MEP Systems)

About the role

Join ALEMCO’s Data Centre Solutions team in Abu Dhabi as a Commissioning Engineer. You will work on high‑profile MEP projects, ensuring that mechanical, electrical and building management systems are installed, tested and handed over to the highest standards of performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop commissioning strategies, detailed plans and test scripts aligned with project specifications and codes.
• Carry out inspections, pre‑functional checks and functional performance tests for mechanical, electrical, BMS and specialist systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with design engineers, OEM representatives and QA/QC teams.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, installation sequencing and on‑site commissioning activities.
• Document test results, prepare commissioning reports and support final hand‑over to the client.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in MEP systems commissioning.
• Hands‑on professional with a strong focus on precision, safety and performance.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, foremen and OEMs.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
