Compliance Officer & MLRO (COMLRO)

About the role

The Compliance Officer & MLRO (COMLRO) will ensure Thndr meets all regulatory and financial‑crime compliance obligations in the UAE. Reporting to the Board and the SEO, you will act as the primary liaison with regulators and drive a proactive compliance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Implement a risk‑based compliance program, including trade surveillance and transaction monitoring.
• Provide regulatory guidance to staff, the SEO, and the Board, and prepare compliance reports for the Board.
• Maintain AML policies, oversee KYC and Customer Due Diligence processes.
• Identify, analyse, and report suspicious transactions, including filing SARs.
• Deliver AML training and advisory support across the organisation.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of compliance experience within a regulated industry.
• Established rapport with FSRA or DFSA; FSRA/DFSA‑approved person preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks and relevant licences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or a related field.

Required skills

• SQL for compliance data analysis.
