Construction Director – High-Speed Rail Projects

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead the delivery of a major high‑speed rail infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides senior leadership across all construction and installation activities, ensuring seamless coordination among engineering disciplines, contractors, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all construction and installation activities across the project.
• Manage detailed construction planning, sequencing and site coordination.
• Oversee site access, possession and readiness prior to works commencement.
• Coordinate with subsystem managers, consortium partners, the Engineer and third parties.
• Manage interfaces with external civil contractors and resolve construction conflicts.
• Monitor progress, consolidate reporting and participate in coordination meetings.
• Work closely with Quality and HSE teams to address NCRs and ensure safe execution.
• Deliver works in line with schedule, quality, HSE and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Construction, Engineering or related discipline (Master’s degree or Chartered Engineer status preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of leadership experience in railway systems and construction projects.
• Mandatory experience delivering at least one High‑Speed Rail project in a senior capacity, with over 5 years of High‑Speed Rail experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex construction interfaces and resolve critical site issues.
