Construction Manager II – Rigging & Lifting Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking a Manager II Construction to lead rigging and lifting activities on its Abu Dhabi projects. The role ensures all lifting operations are planned, reviewed, coordinated and executed safely, efficiently and in line with ADNOC requirements, UAE regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review, assess and approve lifting plans, rigging studies, method statements, risk assessments and JSA submitted by EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Provide specialist technical input for critical, heavy, tandem, engineered and complex lifts.
• Evaluate crane selection, configuration, capacity, load charts, lifting radius, boom length, counterweight and ground bearing pressure.
• Verify calculations for load weight, centre of gravity, sling angles, tensions, lifting points and rigging arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC Codes of Practice, project HSE requirements, UAE regulations and applicable international standards.
• Check certification and inspection status of cranes, lifting appliances, accessories and rigging gear, confirming valid third‑party inspection certificates.
• Validate competency, certification and authorization of crane operators, riggers and banksmen.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rigging and lifting operations within the construction or oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC codes, UAE regulations and international lifting standards.
• Ability to assess and approve technical documentation and ensure HSE compliance.
