Construction Manager – MEP (Mechanical)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – MEP (Mechanical) to lead the delivery of mechanical works on large-scale construction projects in the UAE. The role involves overseeing all phases from mobilisation to handover, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical MEP construction activities from mobilisation through completion.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor mechanical works against approved project schedules and programmes.
• Lead MEP engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, architectural and structural disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and technical documents for site execution.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems.
• Manage subcontractor performance, QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, recovery plans and support final handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP/mechanical construction, preferably with a main contractor.
• Proven track record on large-scale projects such as hotels, residential, mixed-use or commercial developments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, authority requirements and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site teams, manage multiple stakeholders and solve technical issues.
