Construction Quality Inspector - E&I (Gas Plant Project)

About the role

The site quality inspector ensures that all quality procedures and standards are implemented on site, including the inspection of subcontractor activities against the site inspection plan and applicable engineering specifications. The inspector reports to the construction manager. The project is Harvest 4346 UAE, based in Abu Dhabi, with a rotation of 60 days on site, 10 days off (paid) and 2 days travelling (paid).

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality and HSE procedures are followed for subcontractor activities, together with the quality and HSE team.
• Support the construction material controller in checking supplier materials before work starts.
• Check that subcontractor work follows engineering specifications, site procedures and the site inspection plan, and that manpower and equipment meet the required quality level.
• Inform the site engineer of design errors so they can be corrected.
• Promote non-conformities, support the construction manager in resolving them, and handle client rejections of inspections by arranging remedial action.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in industrial construction of large or XL gas plants, covering a similar role on at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience.
