Construction Section Head – Mechanical

About the role

Archirodon is seeking an experienced Construction Section Head – Mechanical to lead mechanical construction activities for its Oil, Gas and Chemicals division in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet ADNOC standards, international codes and HSE regulations while delivering on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning and other disciplines for smooth execution.
• Ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment and other resources.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures and execution plans.
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise subcontractors to achieve quality, productivity, safety and schedule targets.
• Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions to site challenges.
• Implement Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system and maintain strict safety compliance.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader, exercising professional judgment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in fast‑track projects.

Required skills

• Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Construction management of large‑scale mechanical works.
• Knowledge of ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) systems.
• Risk assessment and mitigation expertise.
