About the role

A leading ophthalmology provider in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant in Anterior Segment, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. The role is ideal for a board‑certified surgeon with fellowship training and a proven record of managing complex anterior segment pathology and high‑volume cataract cases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform anterior segment procedures, including cataract extraction, refractive surgery, and complex corneal interventions.
• Manage secondary intra‑ocular lens fixation, iris reconstruction, and anterior segment reconstruction cases.
• Handle surgical complications and ensure optimal postoperative outcomes.
• Maintain a comprehensive, up‑to‑date surgical logbook and contribute to a high‑volume surgical environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team to deliver premium eye care.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) with board certification or equivalent consultant qualification.
• Fellowship training in anterior segment, cornea, cataract, or refractive surgery.
• Consultant‑level experience in a recognized ophthalmology setting.
• Demonstrated experience in high‑volume cataract surgery and complex anterior segment cases.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensure and a recent surgical logbook.
