Consultant Cardiac Surgeon – Immediate Hiring

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care for complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage patients requiring cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical intervention.
• Perform major cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, and other advanced surgeries.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, develop individualized surgical plans and provide post‑operative care in coordination with cardiac ICU teams.
• Manage surgical emergencies, monitor for complications and interpret cardiac imaging, angiography and laboratory results.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, perfusionists and other specialists in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Mentor junior surgeons, residents and medical staff, and contribute to clinical audits, research and continuous medical education.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards and patient safety protocols, including on‑call emergency coverage.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic/Cardiac Surgery (MS/MCh/FRCS/Arab Board/American Board or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of post‑specialisation experience with significant consultant‑level exposure.
• Proven expertise in adult cardiac surgery, especially CABG and valve procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
